Singapore Airlines Adds Gatwick Airport to Its London Destinations
Singapore Airlines (SIA) is set to launch non-stop flights between Singapore and London’s Gatwick Airport in June 2024.
The new service, operating five times a week, complements the current four daily flights to London’s Heathrow Airport, bringing the total to 33 weekly services.
Tickets for the Gatwick flights will be progressively available for sale starting Tuesday. Subject to regulatory approval, the inaugural flight, SQ310, will depart Singapore on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The return flight, SQ309, will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. SIA will use the long-haul variant of the Airbus A350-900 for these flights.
The Gatwick addition expands SIA’s European destinations to 14, offering enhanced connectivity between Singapore and the UK. The new route is expected to open up more travel options across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
